Connecting an Account

Each social account is connected to a specific AI influencer. Navigate to the influencer's Accounts section to manage connections.

  1. Go to Accounts in the sidebar.
  2. Click Connect next to the platform you want.
  3. You'll be redirected to the platform's authorization page. AutoPersonas uses OAuth 2.0, we never see your password.
  4. After granting access, you'll be redirected back and the account will appear as connected.

Account Security

All access tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. Tokens are only decrypted at the moment of publishing and are never logged or exposed.

You can disconnect an account at any time from the Accounts page, which immediately revokes AutoPersonas' access.

Token Refresh

Most platforms issue tokens that expire periodically. AutoPersonas automatically refreshes tokens before they expire. If a refresh fails, you'll see a notification to reconnect the account.

AI Content Disclosure

Posts published from a Character profile are AI-generated. Where the destination platform exposes a native disclosure flag in their API, AutoPersonas sets it on every publish. Where they do not, we follow the platform's documented detection or labeling path.

  • TikTok: post_info.is_aigc is set to true on every publish per TikTok's AIGC policy. Both photo and video init endpoints carry the flag.
  • Instagram, Threads, Facebook: the Graph API has no public AI flag. Meta auto-detects via C2PA provenance metadata embedded in images. Pipeline-side C2PA stamping is on the roadmap.
  • X: no native flag in the v2 API.
  • Fanvue: AI characters are an explicit platform feature; the disclosure is a one-time profile-level toggle on the account, not per post.

Managed profiles publish your own copy on your own account; the AI flag is not relevant since the platform is not generating the creative.

Troubleshooting

  • Connection failed? Make sure you have the right permissions on the platform (e.g., a business or creator account for Instagram).
  • Posts not publishing? Check that the account is still connected and the token hasn't expired. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.
  • Rate limits? Each platform has its own rate limits. AutoPersonas automatically spaces out requests to stay within limits.
